New Christmas Cards and Gift Tags... and Logo!

I'm getting ready for my new website and I am trying to streamline things. I chose the name "Lucky Ladybug Photography" for 3 reasons:

1. Sandy Wagerman Photography is way too long to type (and hard to spell) in a web browser!
2. Photography by Sandy was already taken
3. Lucky Ladybug is special to me since that's what I call my daughter and she's the reason for everything I do.

So there you have it. Soon, this blog will automatically forward to a link on my new site so no need to change your bookmark.

And finally, here's a new set of Christmas cards and photo gift tags. I love these! A set of 25 cards sized at 5x7 are $50 and they can be made into fold-over cards (so that you can write a message on the inside) for an additional $15. For the gift tags, they are sized at 2x4 and a set of 3 tags are $5.

"Daddy, I want a pony"

I am finally caught up on editing all of the sessions from this week! Whew! I don't like feeling behind (even though I tell people that proofs will be ready in a week) and plus, I don't work on my own photos until I have everyone else's finished... which sometimes means my own stuff gets neglected.

Today, my husband and I took the day off today to take Madeline to Gettysburg's "Land of the Little Horses" and since I'm finished editing, I have a few personal photos to share. Now I will admit, when I'm out and about with my family, I don't worry so much about exposure, good lighting, etc... I just try to have fun.

Our daughter is fascinated with all animals and can sign for horse now so we thought it was a great time to show her some little ponies! I love this place. The horses are so friendly and there's a donkey wandering around to greet people and Madeline looooved the horses! She kept saying "woof woof" at them all, I guess when they are that minature, they do look like large dogs! She wasn't afraid to touch any of them and in fact, I had to keep her from sticking her fingers in their noses.

Life is so much sweeter with kids, agreed?

The Holidays are Coming!

I can't even believe it but I've had people contact me already about holiday photos and spots are filling up quickly for September and October. In fact, I only have 2 September spots left!! I'm trying to pace myself with these next few months after this August's flurry of sessions. That, and my daughter will be having surgery during the first week of September so I won't be able to schedule anything for the first week-and-a-half in September.

I just bought another collection of Christmas cards and this set includes personalized photo gift tags! I've never seen these before but I LOVE them! I'll be working to get those up to show you quickly.

Thanks for all of the support, kind words and smiles from everyone. My new website is looking fabulous and with a few more tweaks, I'll be able to debut it here!

I'm so excited about this business venture! There's certainly no shortage of adorable children and families in this area!

Perfect

I really don't know how I get so lucky with photographing great kids and families. Not only is the B family gorgeous but the kids are adorable, incredibly happy and well-behaved and they showed up dressed matching but not to matchy-matchy... just coordinated and casual.

There are about 4 versions of this pose that are all as equally as beautiful... so tough trying to decide which one to post here!

As if I couldn't have been even more luckier, mom also brought some fabulous props! Ever wonder what to do with that bridesmaid's gown that is hanging in the closet? How awesome is this?!!!

If this doesn't melt your heart, I don't know what will...

Too many favorites for me to choose... I'm trying to do better with only posting up to 10!

Cutest Pair Ever

Nope, I'm not talking about an engagement couple!

Meet RJ and Tank. RJ is celebrating a milestone birthday soon, just bought his first truck and my oh my, how much he has grown since I've known him. He is now a handsome, polite and TALL young man. And Tank is.. certainly handsome but not very polite :)

I love absolutely everything about this photo: the sun flare, the way his legs are crossed, his head hanging and the way the dog is standing...you just can't do this in the mall with a studio with a backdrop!

Sometimes...

...before I even press the shutter I just know that I'm going to get an awesome photo. I love it when that happens.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that I was working with a great family!

Brother and Sister

I was tipped off at work before this session that the "A" kids are gorgeous... indeed they are!

I never start out with storyboards in a preview but I really LOVE these! It's the perfect answer to my husband's question today. He asked, "Why do you use lollipops in pictures with toddlers?" Because at first (before the lollipops) I usually get nice beautiful yet subtle pictures like these...

And then sometimes, a whole different side comes out! (p.s. I am not above bribing is the real answer!)

A few more of my favorites. These were all taken at Lilypons Water Gardens in Adamstown, MD. Beautiful scenery for photographs and we probably didn't even cover 1/10th of all that it has to offer!

I am dying to know what she's thinking about here:

And just because I like this one so much, I'm including it twice!
